I was over at Lincoln Elementary School this morning with our Outreach Coordinator Sandy Tyndall and pastor Tony Figureiro serving up bagels to the teachers and staff.

Those folks love bagels!

To watch them coming into the teacher’s lounge at seven in the morning and their eyes catching the table piled high with bagels, cream cheese, butter and jelly was like watching a child come downstairs at Christmas and seeing presents under the tree! Sleepy eyes instantly perked up and smiles spread across faces… it was really a sight to see.

When we told them, after being asked time after time why we did this, that The Message Church was partnering with them this school year, they were all so appreciative. They kept saying “thank you!” We kept saying “thank you!” right back at them. We wanted them to know how much we appreciate what they are doing.

It seemed to have made their day!
