Working out causes muscles to do what they haven’t done in a while. That makes you sore the next day.

I’ve discovered the same thing is true of your spiritual muscles. And you are sore the next day, too.

The beauty of sore physical muscles is that it both enhances your health and makes you capable of doing things you couldn’t –or struggled to do– beforehand.

The same holds true of spiritual muscles. Faith grows to proportions that enables you to do what was previously impossible.

The look on the face of Martha, a lady I met last night at the conference I’m attending, was the beauty of the proof. I exercised my sore spiritual muscles and the impossible occurred.

“What just happened?” she asked as a look of disbelief danced across and then sat on her face.

“Sore muscles,” I responded and broke out in a big grin.
